Acrocanthosaurus and Sauroposeidon by a River dinosaurs coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing or coloring page for you to print is

Acrocanthosaurus - the largest Theropod of the Early Cretaceous Period.

Acrocanthosaurus and Sauroposeidon by a River

This is Acrocanthosaurus... in the foreground.  It was a very large Theropod that lived in what is now North America.  It lived all over the continent.  It lived in the early Cretaceous Period.  It grew to up to 38 feet or 11.5 meters long and weighed possibly up to 7.3 tons or 6.6 metric tonnes.  That made it smaller than Tyrannosaurus rex.  Of course, T. rex lived at the END of the Cretaceous Period so the two predators never would have met.   Acrocanthosaurus had spines on its vertebrae that gave it what is thought to have been a muscular sort of sail.

The other side of the river shows Sauroposeidon.  It was the tallest dinosaur.  It was around 60 feet or 18 meters tall. It was a type of Sauropod or long-necked herbivore.  It was also a type of Brachiosaur.  These two dinosaurs DID live at the same time in the same part of the world.  Sauroposeidon lived in what was once a delta of a river that went into what is now the Gulf of Mexico.  That is why the drawing shows the dinosaurs by a river.  It is estimated that Sauroposeidon was up to 112 feet or 34 meters long and weighed up to 66 tons or 60 metric tonnes.  So it was a very big animal!   It was probably the largest Sauropod in North America for its time.

The pterosaurs in the sky are Radiodactylus.  Although, in the distance, there is at least one other species of early Cretaceous Period pterosaur.

NOTE:  This drawing is found in printable form by clicking on the button labeled "Paleontology."  Then scroll down to the bottom or near the bottom of the "Mesozoic" section.  This will work if you are accessing this site in late January to early February 2025.  If you are accessing it later then the drawing's title will be further up the list.

Lexsea the Pacific Spiny Dogfish Shark Mermaid coloring page

Hi there!  This is my free coloring pages blog.

There are around 2700 drawings that I have done that

you can print and color for free.

A very few of the drawings were done by grandnieces and a grandnephew.

For you regular readers and colorers I apologize for not posting more often.

I am in a pretty scary health crisis right now and so is my wife.

Today's new drawing is of a Mermaid named Lexsea.

Lexsea the Mermaid

Lexsea is actually a Mermaid who is a Caretaker Mermaid. She watches out for the animals of the ocean.  She especially cares for sharks.  And her favorite species of shark is the Pacific Spiny Dogfish.

Dogfish Sharks get the name because they travel in packs.  They don't look like dogs.  They look like skinny sharks.  This type of shark can grow up to around 4 feet long.  That's around 1.2 meters long.  They can weigh up to 22 lbs or about 10 kg.  Their packs can be hundreds to thousands of individuals.  I wonder why they don't call them "wolf-fish."  These sharks tend to be bottom dwellers.  But they are beautiful animals in my opinion.

Lexsea is particularly beautiful because of her amazing large eyes.  She needs these large eyes to gather light in darker parts of the ocean because Pacific Spiny Dogfish live in both shallow waters along the Pacific coast AND they also dive down to around 3000 feet... where it is pretty dark.  I guess you could call Lexsea a "Shark Mermaid" or a "Dogfish Mermaid."  You can see a small pack of Pacific Spiny Dogfish in the background.

I should add that there are both Pacific and Atlantic Dogfish Sharks that live mainly north of the equator. They have been overfished - even though they are the most abundant type of shark. The tiny spines on the dorsal fin can do some damage if you don't handle the fish carefully.  And Spiny Dogfish is a shark that is harmless to humans.

Mermaids and Mermen for that matter have a special charm that keeps them safe from any type of shark, but Lexsea doesn't need to use that charm with her friends the Dogfish Sharks. Dogfish are also harmless to Merpeople.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" and then scrolling to the bottom of the list.  New drawings are at the bottom of the correct list.  Have fun coloring!

Elf Mother coloring page

The buttons above give you access to printable coloring pages. New drawings are at the bottom of the correct list. Today's free coloring page is of a lovely Elvish or Elf mother and her son.

Hanawyn an Elf Mother with Her Son Glenoraborn

Yes, Elves have mothers.  This is one of those beautiful Elf Mothers with her son.  The Elvish mother is named Hanawyn and her son is Glenoraborn.  She has other children as well.  These are Wood Elves so they live in the forest.  Here we see mother and child after the son has been swimming in the river.  He is wrapped in a type of Elvish towel that has the charm to warm him up after swimming in the cool river water.

Angels at the First Christmas - coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

Today's new drawing is of Angels in the Sky at the First Christmas.

Angels at the First Christmas

At church, on Sunday we sang some songs about Christmas angels.  Or at least the song mentioned the angels.  So I got in the mood to draw angels.  Angels appeared to the shepherds and announce the birth of the Savior of the World... Jesus Christ.

We Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus but often we get caught up in the commercialism and forget that the holiday is about a Savior being born to save us from our sins if we believe in him and repent of them.  I don't have anything against Santa Claus etc. I have done Santa and reindeer drawings etc.  But I just think we should always remember the "reason for the season."

Shepherds were kind of the bottom of the social and economic ladder in ancient Israel.  Yet angels came to the humble shepherds first.  I think of the ministry of the adult Jesus and He went and taught the sinners instead of shunning them.  What a great lesson He taught us.

One of our apostles in our church... The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, taught us a couple of years ago the following analogy.  He said that if the church were a car dealership... it would be the repair shop where broken cars are getting repaired, NOT the showroom floor where all the cars are on show in perfect condition.  Think about that analogy.  We all sin so we all need the Atonement of Jesus Christ to pay the eternal price for our sins.  Thus His Atonement makes it possible for us to repent and be cleansed and return to our Heavenly Home... spotless before God.

NOTE:  This new drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Holidays" or the button labeled "Religious."  It will be in the New Testament section of the Religious pages.  And, of course, it will be in the "Christmas" section of the "Holidays" page.

2 More Healer Fairy coloring pages

Hi again!  Welcome to my blog or welcome back to my blog.

This is a free coloring pages blog with hundreds of free coloring pages to print and color.

Today's two new drawings are of Healer Fairies.

Hallia the Healer Fairy

Hallia is a unique type of Healer Fairy... also called a Fairy Healer.  This type of Fairy loves mortals.  Specifically, they love the elderly among the mortals.  They often hang out at care centers, assisted living homes, and nursing homes.  They will patrol the facility in diminutive and invisible form and telepathically whisper notices into caregivers minds when a resident needs assistance.

These are called Curam Faires, (Care Fairies).  Sometimes they appear to residents and cultivate a friendship.  The elderly or disabled residents know to keep their friendship with a Fairy secret.  Hallia is sitting on the edge of a resident's nightstand.  She has dressed in traditionally herbaceous (plant) clothing.

Hallia has lacewings like some insects have.  Notice that she has a flying belt with a Fairy symbol incorporated into the design of the Balteum Volantes.  (That is what the Fairies call their flying belts.)

In this drawing of Hallia, she is sitting on a dresser or nightstand of someone in a care facility.

Tree Fairies - Lania the Narrow-leaved Willow Tree Fairy

Willows are native to many parts of the world.  They are the original source of some medications such as aspirin.  So, Lania is a Healer Fairy who is also a Willow Tree Fairy.  She prefers the Narrow-leaved Willow that is common to much of North America.  It lives along streams and lakes.  She gathers bark to make aspirin.  Salacin is the ingredient that makes aspirin and all willow tree bark has it.  Lania is kind of sitting or leaning on one willow branch and one foot is resting on another branch.

Lania is also a specialized Fairy Healer who often cares for Fairies and mortals who have an emergency situation such as being injured in an accident.  Lania and most Fairies wear a flying belt.  This allows them to fly at an increased speed and for longer distances.  Of course, all Fairies can fly without the flying belt, but speed is important in many situations... especially emergency situations.  Being able to fly long distances is also of great importance.

When one of these Subitis Fairies (Emergency Fairies) becomes aware of a need they can fly to the scene at incredible speeds to assist.  Also, some Subitis Fairies transform into mortal size, go to school to get the credentials and become EMTs in order to help mortals in emergency situations.  Of course, these Fairies can magically internalize their wings and put a cloaking charm on their pointed ears to fool mortals.

It takes a special kind of caring person to be either a Subitis Fairy or a Curum Fairy.  Many of them who like mortals go on to go to mortal nursing schools or medical schools.  They also often marry a mortal and choose a mortal existence.  They find joy in serving others.  Of course, they always clue their spouse in on the existence of the Fairy Realm hidden out in forests or deserts, etc.  Many of these hybrid families vacation in the Fairy realm.  Sometimes their children choose to join Fairy society.

I should add that because of the leaking sap from willow bark there are many types of butterflies that hang out around willow trees.  For this reason, Lania's wings are similar to the wings of a Viceroy Butterfly.  IF you saw Lania and you were just a normal mortal... then you would probably think you saw a Viceroy'Butterfly.  Fairy Magic would do this to your mortal eyes.  SOME mortals are made Fairykind and they would recognize a Fairy as a Fairy.

Sampling of Coloring Pages: Unicorns, Fairies, a Rhino, Jesus, Dinosaurs, & Elena of Avalor

Hi readers and colorers.  I want to make a personal note.  This is my last post quite possibly for some time.  I am going into the hospital tomorrow for tests and possibly exploratory surgery.  When I get back home I will be able to post again.  Please pray for me because my health situation is rather critical.  Because I have several new drawings that need to be posted I am doing so tonight.  I will not be able to write as much about each drawing nor post them in separate posts as I would normally do.  Consider this a sampling of my style of coloring pages art.  I hope you enjoy coloring them and again, please pray for me.  I am now posting each drawing... this will take a while.

By the way, these free coloring pages can be found by

clicking on the correct button and scrolling down.

Fantasy, Myths, and Circus  Drawings:

Fairy with Unicorn Foal

Fairy with Unicorn Mare

Elena of Avalar and Jaquin - fan art

(from a Disney show called Elena of Avalor)

(This drawing was done from my grandniece's toys.)

Tree Fairies - Chinese Elm Tree Fairy named Yushu

All Elm Trees have non-symmetrical leaves.  The Chinese Elm is a very successful tree.  It is found widely in towns, cities, and even growing in the wild here in Utah, USA.  It is a great shade tree.  This Chinese Elm Tree Fairy is guarding her tree.  Her name is Yushu... that is the word for Elm in Chinese.

Tree Fairies - Mistletoe Fairy

Mistletoe Fairies gather mistletoe for medicinal uses.  However, the berries of the pant are particularly toxic.  Some experts feel that all of the plant is toxic in one way or another.  Mistletoe is a parasitic plant that attaches itself to certain trees.  In spite of the toxicity, there are several traditional medicinal uses for mistletoe. Notice that this Fairy has a knife instead of a wand.  It is an enchanted knife that works like a wand but is also useful for cutting mistletoe.   Since mistletoe does not lose its leaves it has become a popular Christmas decoration.  Tradition indicates you should stand under the mistletoe to get a kiss.  If the person standing under the mistletoe refuses a kiss they get bad luck.   By the way, the printable version IS darker.  The lines are more visible.

Tree Faires - Eastern White Pine Swallowtail Fairy

There are over 500 species of Swallowtail Butterflies.  There is a Tree Fairy that lives in the Appalachian Mountains that looks much like a Swallowtail Butterfly.  Since Swallowtail Butterflies don't feed on any part of the pine tree you might wonder why this Fairy looks so much like a Swallowtail Butterfly.  The answer is that the pine tree provides the shade that the understory plants that have flowers favored by the Swallowtail Butterflies.  So this type of Fairy lives under this type of tree.  Many Fairy villages are hidden underground under or near a favored tree.

Paleontology drawings:

Titanosaur Mother and Calf

Titanosaurs were the biggest land animals ever to live on Earth.  They were the biggest of the Sauropods.  They include Argenitosaurus and Patagotitan.  Some of the biggest were over 115 feet long and possibly weighed up to 75 tons.

Ceratosaurus near the Forest

Ceratosaurus was a Jurassic Theropod predator that lived at the same time as the much larger Allosaurus.  Few Cetatosaurus fossils have been found.  It is possible that Ceratosaurs were driven to extinction and replaced in the ecosystem by the larger Allosaurus.  Ceratosaurus was around 23 feet or 7 meters long.  Allosaurus could grow to up to 40 feet or 12 meters long.  Ceratosaurus had 3 horns on its head.  It had two brow horns and one nose horn.  All the horns were quite short.  The horns were probably used for sexual display, not for defense.  That means the horns were to impress members of the opposite sex... and of course possibly for species identification.

Sauropod Hatchling

Sauropods hatched from spherical eggs that looked quite a lot like cantaloupe melons.  It is amazing to think that the largest land animals on Earth hatched from an egg the size of a cantaloupe.  Recent studies via cT scans have shown that baby sauropod, while in the egg, had a nose horn and binocular vision.  They lost those trains as they matured. In fact, they may have lost them soon after hatching.

Gastonia and Pteranodon

Gastonia was a Pteranodon with thick dermal armor, but without the clubbed tail that the more well-known Ankylosaurus had.  Still, Gastonia was a type for Ankylosaur.  Gastonia was an herbivore with a length of 16 feet or about 5 meters.  Pteranodon was a common Pterosaur of the Cretaceous Period.

T. rex Mom & Juvenile

Teleoceras the North American Rhino

Teloceras was a large rhino with rather short legs that once lived in North America.

Religion Drawings:

Jesus, as a Young Man close to Jerusalem

I know that Jesus is the Savior of us all.  I know that he is MY Savior as well.  And I know that He can bring me peace in rough times.  Tomorrow I may be under the knife and facing a long recovery from thoracic surgery,  but I am at peace.  I received a blessing . .  in fact I received two blessings from both my sons-in-law.  I am hopeful and expect to live on the Earth for several more years at least.

Unicorn Foal magicking her Doggy Friend coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog!

Today this blog reached 60,000 hits from counties all over the world!

Today's new drawing is of a Unicorn Foal and her Doggy Friend.

There are no ads and no fees on this site.

There are over 1000 drawings to print and color.

My name is Robin Lyman.  I drew these pictures for kids and adults to color.

I draw to block pain and because it is fun.

I drew THIS drawing as I waited in the pre-op room for surgery.

I am now back at home but my throat is very sore.  I had a tracheal stent changed.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this drawing.  It is one of my more simple drawings.

I drew several more while I waited so I will post them tomorrow.  I'm still kind of recovering.

Unicorn Foal magicking her Doggy Friend

Unicorns have magic.  They sometimes make friends with mortal animals, like dogs.  When this happens they give some magic to their new friend and this makes it so the mortal animal can speak Unicorn.  Here we see a young Unicorn foal her new friend, a small doggy.  THIS doggy will never be the same again!

By the way, a Foal is a horse (or Unicorn) of either sex, that is less than one year old.  A Filly is a female foal and a colt is a male foal.

This drawing can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the button up top labeled, "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down because new drawings are at the bottom of the list.

Moroni buries the Golden Plates in the Hill Curmorah coloring page

This is a free Coloring Pages Blog.

There are no ads and no fees to print my drawings for you to color.

Today's new drawing is the General and Prophet Moroni burying

the Golden Plates in the Hill Cumorah.

Note to my English Readers... I will be posting this in

multiple languages then re-posting it in English.

The below drawing is not the original.  It has been reworked.  See 2nd note below.

Moroni buries the Golden Plates in the Hill Cumorah

The prophet named Mormon, in the Book of Mormon, was a Nephite general.  But he was also the record keeper for his people.  Mormon had abridged the 1000 years of records of his people.  Mormon was also the top general of his people.  Moroni was Mormon's son.  They both lost their people in the great last battle against the Lamanites at the Hill Cumorah.

Mormon gave the Golden Plates to his son, Moroni, for him to hide up in the Earth until the latter-days.  Then Mormon was killed by the Lamanites and Moroni had to go on the run.  That means that he probably had to travel and keep hidden from the Lamanites.  Moroni had to live in hiding for over 30 years because all of his people had been killed.

While living in hiding Moroni abridged the records of the Jaredites and added it to the Golden Plates.
The Jaredites were a people that came to the New World from the Tower of Babel.  They also lived in the Americas for around 1000 years.

After over 30 years of living alone and in hiding, Moroni buried the Golden Plates in the Earth.  He made a stone box with a rounded top, so he could hide the plates and it would look like just a rock to the casual observer.  The Lamanites would have valued the plates just for their gold, not for the content of the writing.  Along with the Golden Plates, Moroni placed the following items in the stone box:  the Sword of Laban, the Liahona or divine compass, and a breastplate with the Urim and Thummin.

Moroni, as a resurrected being, gave the plates to Joseph Smith around 1400 years later.  Joseph Smith translated the plates by the Gift and Power of God.  The Urim and Thummin helped Joseph to translate the plates into English.  When the translation was complete Moroni came and retrieved the plates from Joseph Smith.

The book from the translation is called:  The Book Of Mormon, Another Testament Of Christ.  The book tells of Jesus Christ visiting and teaching the Nephites and Lamanites after his death and resurrection.  The Nephites and Lamanites were descendants of some of the Children of Israel that had migrated to the New World.

To read all about this just contact missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A quick word on the Sword of Laban. Shad M. Brooks has a Youtube channel where he talks a lot about his research on medieval and other ancient swords, armor, and etc.  He is also a Latter-Day Saint or "Mormon" and he has studied about what the Sword of Laban would have looked like.  It was a sword from around 600 B.C. in Jerusalem.  He has an excellent Youtube video about it.  An ancient steel sword HAS been found in the Jerusalem area.  My drawing of the Sword of Laban is based on Mr. Brooks' research.  It would be around a yard or just under a meter long.  Mr. Brooks' Youtube channel is called Shadiversity.  His video about the Sword of Laban is amazing.  Just google "Shadiversity Sword of Laban."

NOTE:  This drawing, along with other religious drawings, can be found by clicking on the button up top labeled . . . . . . Religious . . . . .   Then scroll down to get to the new drawing.  It will be in the "Restoration or Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints" section.

SECOND NOTE:  This 2nd note is being typed on December 6, 2020.  The original post was from November 2, 2020.  The original drawing of Moroni burying the Golden Plates was haunting me.  There is an artist saying that an artist does not complete a piece, we merely abandon it.  Well, I feel like I abandoned this drawing too soon.  Moroni was wandering the wilderness and ruins of the Nephite civilization for around 30 years.  He probably grew a beard, if Nephites had beards... and his beard would probably have been gray or white by the time he buried the golden plates.  I also thought that Moroni had been a general in command of 10,000 troops.  He would not have been a skinny man.  He probably wandered those 30+ years with a backpack to carry his possessions, not to mention he was carrying the golden plates and gold is HEAVY.  So I realized that I drew him too thin.  He would have been more muscular.  So I fixed that in this reworked drawing.   So, I have decided to delete the original drawing, and I have posted the reworked drawing with a more muscular and bearded Moroni.  I am also going to post all this as a new individual post.  I added some other details in this reworked drawing.

Tree Fairies - Birch Tree Fairy coloring pages

This is a free Coloring Pages Blog.  There are over 1000 drawings to print and color.

The drawings are free to print for kids and adults to color.

There are no ads or fees to print any of the drawings.

I drew these drawings... or for a very few a grandniece or grandnephew drew them.

Today's post is another in my series of drawings of species-specific Tree Fairies.

Tree Fairies -  Birch Tree Fairy

Tree Fairies - Birch Tree Fairy  (full dress version)

Birch Tree Fairies are particularly attached to Birch Trees.  They are beautiful Fairies that love to transform to mortal size and sit up in their tree.  Of course, they protect all the trees in the forests, but Birch Trees are their favorite. Of course, all Fairies can change size from their natural 5 inches tall to mortal size.  But not all Fairies choose to do this.  Birch Tree Fairies, like some other Tree Fairies, have wings that look a lot like a birch tree leaf.  When in diminutive size a Birch Tree Fairy can hind under her wings when sitting on their favorite tree.

Notice that this Birch Tree Fairy is wearing woven birch tree leaves for her clothing.  She also has on the traditional flying belt that Fairies often wear.  The flying belt gives Fairies the ability to fly at high speed and fly far distances.  All Fairies can fly without the flying belt, but they can't fly for long distances at high speed without a flying belt. The Fairy term for flying belt is Volantem Balteum.

Birch trees have a unique type of fruit.  Remember that any seed-bearing structure on a tree is the fruit.  Birch tree fruit is a catkin.  A catkin looks a bit like a fuzzy cattail.  There are many tiny birch tree seeds in each catkin.

NOTE:  There are two drawings here.  Sometimes Birch Tree Fairies wear two-piece outfits and sometimes they wear one-piece outfits.  So I drew this Fairy both ways.  These drawings, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" button at the top of the page.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list.  New drawings are at the bottom of the lists of drawings. When coloring the drawing you choose to print... remember that birch tree bark is white with black markings.

Moses Parting the Red Sea

If you look in the Holy Bible you see the story of Moses and the Children of Israel leaving slavery in Egypt.  Pharaoh held a grudge and sent his chariots to kill the once slaves who were now free.  The Bible says that the Children of Israel were murmuring and the Lord told Moses to stretch forth his hand across the waters and it took all night, but an east wind parted the sea to allow the people to cross over on dry land.  Then the Egyptian army tried to cross over too in order to attack and kill the Israelites and the sea closed up again and everyone in the Egyptian Army drowned.

Moses Parts the Red Sea
