Spinosaurus from New Theories

This is another drawing by a guest artist.  This artist is only 14 years old.  I liked the drawing a lot! 
This Spinosaurus drawing is by my grandnephew Camden. It was drawn in pencil but even though it affected the scan, it also shows what could be a natural coloring variation in the scales...a sort of mottling.   This drawing shows the new theories that Spinosaurus spent most of its time on all fours.  It lived much like a crocodile or alligator.  Notice the detailed scales and the sensory organs on the snout.  The sensory organs on the snout are also on crocodilians and they can sense movement in the water.  The nostril in this drawing is correctly put high up on the snout.  This was so a Spino could fish with it's nose in the water and still breathe.  The large claw on each of the front hands was to fillet their catch.   You could call this the "sushi chef dinosaur!"

 Feel free to add in a lake or river nearby.   Or / and grass and ferns.   You can accurately draw in pine or broadleaf trees.  A new discovery is that flowers evolved much earlier than once thought, so you could include flowers.  In case you are wondering why it is ok to add grass in the Mid Cretaceous drawing...new evidence also says grass evolved sooner than once thought!  All this is in former posts on this blog.
