Moses meets Jehovah at the Burning Bush

Moses meets Jehovah at the Burning Bush
(This is the only new drawing on today's post.)

Moses and the Burning Bush on Mt. Herob

Moses went up to Mt. Herob when he was out herding sheep.  He was fascinated by the bush that was burning without being consumed.  We believe that he met Jehovah, the God of the Old Testament.  We also believe that Jehovah is another name for Jesus Christ.  In fact we believe that we all lived before we lived on Earth. We lived in a premortal life with our Heavenly Parents and Jehovah was our brother.  We all had Spirit bodies.  When we come to Earth as babies our Spirit is inside our mortal body.  When He came to Earth Jehovah took the name of Jesus Christ.  We also believe that Moses talked to Jehovah face to face.  Jehovah is God the Son.

Jesus Creates the Earth

(This is an older drawing.  It shows how Jesus may have brought in comets to fill the seas.)

He, Jehovah or Jesus created the Earth under the direction of His Heavenly Father.  Of course, Heavenly Father is also the Father of our Spirits and even of Jesus' Spirit.  Jesus or Jehovah was chosen to be the Savior of the world.  We all have our Earthly father, but for Jesus it was different.  He is the Only Begotten Son of God in the flesh

So Joseph, the husband of Mary, was Jesus' stepfather.  Jesus' actual father was Father in Heaven.  So I think that Jesus had to willingly die for our sins because His physical body probably could not die unless he allowed it.  And of course we just celebrated the resurrection of Jesus.

Resurrection of Jesus

By the way, Moses, after receiving instructions and guidance from Jesus or Jehovah, went on to do great things.
