This is my free coloring pages blog.
Today's new drawing I have done is of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jesus with Jerusalem in the Background
Jesus was and is our Savior. He volunteered to be our Savior. He died to pay the eternal price for our sins, so we can repent and return to live with our Heavenly Parents. Jesus was the greatest of men - His father of his flesh being God. Jesus never sinned. His mortal mother meant he could die, yet his Heavenly Father meant that Jesus could be resurrected. Jesus had an imperfect body.
The Bible implies that Jesus was not particularly handsome. Notice that I drew Him with a lazy eyelid. I have this same trait. One eye is slightly less open than my other eye. I thought that maybe Jesus had a trait like this. Yet He was truly beautiful because the inner person is where true beauty lies.
In these turbulent times, we need to remember that Jesus IS the answer. He taught love and compassion for others. He condemned violence and hypocrisy. He was almost certainly a skilled craftsman, yet He gave up his profession to be an itinerant (homeless) preacher. His message of love and forgiveness is one we all need to be living by. THAT is the answer to the troubles in our world. We all need to truly follow Him and live by His teachings. He welcomed the stranger. He taught forgiveness of others. He taught against violence. He taught that we can be forgiven of our own sins. His example and teachings were to take care of the poor, sick, and needy. He taught us to be kind and comforting to those who were sad or suffering. There is no greater example in history of such compassion. We need to follow His example of caring for and being kind to others. If we disagree with someone, we need to work it out and not have conflict over the disagreement. The spirit of contention is not of Him. It is of the Devil.. We need to learn to disagree with others peacefully. We absolutely should NEVER do violence to others because we disagree with them.
