Wildlife Fairies - Mouse Fairy & Bee Fairy coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is a Wildlife Fairy who is friends with a Mouse.

Wildlife Fairy Serenia with her Mouse Friend

This is Serenia the Wildlife Fairy.  She is one of the Fairies that loves wildlife.  She particularly loves the tiny wildlife.  Here she is seen with her friend, a mouse.  They are relaxing by a river.  Serenia has her wand at the ready in case a bird of prey or snake shows up.  She can and will use her wand to protect her friend.  Fairies have powerful magic and predator animals know when to avoid a Fairy that is defending a prey animal.  Serenia is friendly with many mice so she could be called a Mouse Fairy.

You might notice that there is a bird of prey patrolling in the background.  THAT is why Serenia is keeping her wand at the ready.  Serenia would not actually hurt the bird of prey, but she would put a charm on it to hide the mouse from its view.  You also might notice that Serenia is wearing a flying belt.  Fairies call this a Balteaum Volantes.  It is Fairy technology that helps a Fairy fly at high speed and for long distances.  ALL Faires can fly, but they can not fly at high speed or for long distances without the flying belt.

Fairies have the ability to transform from Fairy size, of about 5 inches tall, to mortal size.  Serenia is one of the members of Fairykind who prefers to stay her natural diminutive size.  She does this to protect the mice that live near the river.  Serenia's village is under a Box Elder Tree near the river.  Fairy villages are underground and usually associated with a specific tree or trees.  Part of the village is usually inside part of the tree's trunk.

Wildlife Fairy Abelle with her Bee Friend

Abelle is also a Wildlife Fairy.  She could be called a Bee Fairy as well.  The Bee Fairies are very busy right now because of something called Colony Collapse Disorder.  Bee Fairies are striving to save the bees.  ONE Bee Fairy is assigned to each hive.  But sadly, there are not enough Bee Fairies for every hive.

Notice that Abelle also is wearing a flying belt.  Bees fly up to 6 miles from their hive in search of nectar from flowers to make honey.  So, a Fairy benefits from wearing a flying belt because a single Bee Fairy follows many bees from her assigned hive.  The Fairy would get exhausted without a flying belt.

NOTE:  These drawings can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled: "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll to the bottom for the drawing.  The new drawings are always at the bottom of the printable lists of drawings.  I am adding the photo I took of a bee at a wonderous place.  It is called Dinosaur National Monument in Eastern Utah.  The bee in the drawing was drawn from this photo.
