The new drawings are found
at the bottom of the list.
The new drawing today is just below this explanation. It was a huge Pterosaur from Northern Alberta Canada. It was a big animal with a wingspan of around 36 feet or 11 meters.
It was actually found over 30 years ago, but the bones were misidentified as Quetzalcoatlus... another huge Pterosaur. The new name for this now new species is Cryodrakon boreas.
Cryodrakon boreas is a great name for this animal. The Genus name of "Cryodrakon" means "frozen dragon." The species name of "Boreas" refers to the Greek god of the North. Boreas was also the god of wind and winter.
Cryodrakon boreas was found in the badlands of Northern Alberta Canada, but it was not nearly as cold there during the Cretaceous Period. Canada was located further South back then. So the climate was more temperate. It was not warm, but it was much warmer than it is now in Northern Alberta.
By the way, the Pterosaurs were flying reptiles. . . they were NOT flying dinosaurs. There WERE some flying dinosaurs, like Microraptor. They had feathers. The feathered and flying dinosaurs evolved into our modern birds. Pterosaurs are also known as Pterodactyls.
Pterosaurs are a totally different evolutionary line. Pterosaurs had possibly a fuzzy covering, but they did NOT have feathers. Pterosaurs were the biggest animal to ever take to the air and be able to truly fly.
Both Cryodrakon and Quetzalcoatlus were members of the Azhdarchid group of Pterosaurs. The Azhdarchids were Pterosaurs with a huge head and neck. They also tended to be the biggest of the Pterosuars.
Cryodrakon was probably over 20 feet tall, or more than 6 meters tall. That is taller than an adult male giraffe. Quetzalcoatlus was of similar height... (see drawing down below). Cryodrakon could walk on all fours, using the hands on its wings as front feet. It also used its back legs at the same time. Quetzalcoatlus was near this same size and most certainly walked the same way when on land. So on land, both Pterosaurs were quadrupeds.

(This is the only new drawing today. Note the Northern lights in the sky. See photo down below.)
As I mentioned before... it is estimated that Cryodrakon had a wingspan of over 36 feet. That would be over 11 meters! Think about it. That is the wingspan of the F-35 fighter aircraft... seen below.

(with a wingspan the same as the Ice Dragon)

Quetzalcoatlus
(...found in Texas but possibly also found in Northern Alberta
It definitely COULD have migrated to and from Texas and Alberta.)

(The new drawing today has Northern Lights partially
based on what we saw when we went to Iceland in
November of 2017. The Aurora Borealis
looked like a giant whirlpool in the sky!)
