New Huge Pliosaur from the Jurassic Coast
This is a recent discovery in Southern England in what is known as the Jurassic Coast. What was found was a well-preserved 6.5-foot-long head of a Pliosaur. Pliosuars were short-necked Plesiosaurs. They were the top marine predators of the Jurassic seas. This one lived around 150 million years ago. The size is estimated to be approaching 50 feet long. That would be over 15 meters long!
Pliosuars preyed upon smaller Pliosaurs, long-necked Plesiosuars, and even sharks.
