This is my free coloring pages blog.
Today's new drawing is of a stunningly beautiful fair-haired Stream Fairy.
Macquenzia the Stream Fairy
(with wings internalized)
This drawing is of a lovely young blonde Stream Fairy. She is named Macquenzia. She is far more than just physically beautiful. She is beautiful on the inside. She is kind and caring. And THAT is actually far more important than physical appearance. If there is a possibility of being seen by mortals all Fairies can internalize their wings. This is a magical gift they have, In this first drawing Macquenzia is seen with internalized wings. In the second drawing, she has her wings externalized.
It is quite a contrast and a beautiful one, to see Macquenzia with her translucent gray wings out and visible. The contrast is her dark gray translucent wings to her brilliant shining blonde locks. To be clear, Macquenzia is indeed a Fairy of Light. Do not let her darkish wings fool you. Of course, if she allowed you to see her you would see a kind look on her face that would eliminate all your fears. Speaking of her face, I want to say that in this medium of coloring pages, it is a real challenge to capture the true beauty of a Fairy. But I did the best I could. Notice that it must be either early morning just after sunrise or close to sunset. You know this because the shadows indicate the horizon placement of the sun.
Macquenzia Stream Fairy with Externalized Wings
We, mortals and Fairies, all have an aura. If we choose to reject goodness and light then our aura fades and goes dark. If we embrace goodness and light then our aura deepens and brightens. Interesting that Fairies of Light can detect light and dark auras. This skill helps them recognize whether a mortal they meet is safe or dangerous.
The Fairy world has many who are believers in Christianity. Many Fairies converted when Christianity first came to what is now Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe around 800 to 1200 A.D. Before that Faires were often mischievous and often downright dangerous to mortals. With their conversion to the Gospel of Peace, the majority of Fairies converted to Christianity.
Some tribes rejected the Gospel and they are now known as Dark Faires. The Christian Fairies are actually called "Fairies of Light." The Dark Fairies will sometimes start a war with the Fairies of Light but with "The Creator's" assistance the Fairies of Light have always won those wars.
All Fairies can transform from their traditional 5 inches tall to full mortal human size. Mortal size is helpful sometimes. Being mortal size helps Macquenzia wade in the stream. Stream Fairies love watercress and they also are great at catching fish like trout. Gathering watercress from a stream or fishing for trout requires Macquenzia to be mortal size.
Notice that I mentioned that Macquenzia is young. She is in fact, a young adult Fairy. Fairies age and take about 18 years to become an adult, just like mortals. However, Fairies then age much slower and many live to be over 100. At around 100 years of age, an elderly Fairy can choose to undergo "The Change." In The Change, a Fairy transforms into the Spirit realm or Spirit World. Their physical body vaporizes and their Spirit goes into the Spirit World. The Spirit World is here on Earth and really throughout the universe. It is an alternate reality that we mortals rarely can see.
I also want to add that Macquenzia has a beautiful singing voice, as does her mother. They recently sang a Christmas carol and all who listened were entranced. Yes, Fairies of Light DO celebrate Christmas. Of course, they do. And they have the most beautiful voices. Part Fairy part mortal people also have lovely and often spectacular voices.
If a Fairy marries a mortal they do have copatible DNA. Some "mortals" are part Fairy. If the first generation of half Fairy half mortal choose, they can live in the Fairy realm. Or they can live among mortals. Often those who choose a mortal life will go on vacation to the local Fairy village. Those villages are usually a place of great peace. A part mortal part Fairy person still keeps the amazing singing voice.
