Unicorn with Friend Squirrel at Sunrise
This drawing is for younger kids, but it has one more advanced feature. Notice that there are long shadows from the rising sun. This drawing could be used to teach about shade and shadows. Tell your child and show them at different times of the day...how shadows start long at sunrise, get small at noon, and get long again at the end of the day. I only lightly shaded the shadow made by the mountains so you could have your son or daughter shade that shadow in with a pencil or gray crayon. I did not shade some of the smallest plants but you or your child could add tiny shadows there too.
