A Great Woman welcomed into Paradise
We went to a funeral of a great woman today. She was not great in the world's eyes, but I am certain she is great in God's eyes. She raised five kids and was always supportive of them and of her husband, whom she loved very much. She was taken from us by cancer. This woman finished her college education just last year. She was a friend of ours in our Latter Day Saint ward or congregation in the town where we used to live...and the town where we raised our children. As a member our our congregation she helped raise our kids. We truly respected and loved her and pray for her family and husband. When people live their lives doing good for others they are welcomed into Paradise or the Spirit World with the love of our Savior and glorious trumpeting and cheers of the angels of heaven. One of the speakers at the funeral service said something like that. Goodbye Shelia.
Jesus may very well be the one to welcome many of us, but I suspect that all of us are greeted by our departed loved ones when we enter the Spirit World. This means that we always will have a guide. We will not be left alone to figure things out on our own. Also, the lack of physical pain will be a great blessing for those of us suffering from chronic illnesses. So on this second drawing, or even on the first drawing, I would encourage you to add drawings of your loved ones who you figure will greet you.
Jesus with a welcoming gesture
