Grain Fairies coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

There are over 1600 drawings on this blog that you are free to print to color.

Today's new drawing is a couple.

They are a type of Grass Fairy called a Grain Fairy.

Grain Fairies Couple

\Grain Fairies are a type of Grass Fairy. . . since Grain is a type of grass.  These Grain Fairies look after the Farmers' grain as it is growing.  They even spend the growing season living in the grain field.  So they don't get lonely, Grain Fairies have a very high rate of marriage.  They go back to the Fairy Village from time to time during the growing season and during the off-season, they live in the Fairy Village.

There is some size difference between the husband and wife.  This is just by chance.  There are relatively tall Fairies and there are relatively short Fairies.  If this male Fairy went to mortal size he would be 6 feet 10 inches tall.  If the female Fairy went to mortal size she would be 5 feet tall.   So even for Fairies, there are size differences.  She is about 4 inches tall and he is about 5.5 inches tall in their natural Fairy Size . . . as seen in this drawing.   They are emerging from the grain field as the sun rises from the left side of the drawing... but out of the picture.

Of course, Fairies CAN go to mortal size.  They also have flying belts to increase their flying endurance and speed.  Fairy tech is quite advanced compared to our mortal technology.  Fairies integrate their magic with their technology.  Notice that both Fairies have a wand tucked into their flying belt.

Some people think that male Fairies don't have beards.  Some male Fairies are beardless and some have beards like this male.  Some Fairies are tall and some are short... relatively speaking.  Some are more gracile and some are more robust.  This male is very robust.  His wife is more gracile.  Their names are:  Jiminy and Jennifria.  Jiminy is the male and husband and Jennifria is the female and wife.

Notice the similarities of wings.  Married Fairies sometimes will have their wings morph into similar shapes and colors.  This only happens if they have a very good companionate marriage.

Note: This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled:  Fantasy, Myths, and Circus.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list.  New drawings are always at the bottom of the list.  A final note:  My granddaughter, who is just 6 years old, came up with the name, "Grain Fairies."
