Cammie the Mushroom Fairy coloring page

Cammie the Mushroom Fairy

Cammie is a Mushroom Fairy.  Mushroom Fairies are known to be among the smartest of all Fairies.  Their job is to find edible mushrooms for food for their Fairy village.  As you can see, this beautiful Mushroom Fairy is named Cammie, and she is sitting on a toadstool she has found.

It is very important for you to know that some fungi are NOT edible.  All the mushroom Fairies know this particular type of mushroom is actually a toadstool and it is poisonous.  THAT is why Mushroom Fairies must be very intelligent.  It would not do to bring home a poisonous fungi to the village.  This particular type of toadstool is a fungus found in the forest in many parts of the world.  It is poisonous but rarely deadly.

Here in Utah, USA, we get a tan-colored toadstool in our overwatered lawns and it IS quite deadly.  It is also found in Arizona.  When I was in junior high (in Arizona) we had a cute half-grown kitten eat ONE bite from a toadstool from our lawn and we found the kitten 3 feet (1 meter or so) away from where we saw the toadstool with one kitty bite taken out of it.  So when I see toadstools in our lawn I wrap my hand in a plastic bag and use that to pull out the mushroom . . . or I should say toadstool.  NEVER eat a fungi or "mushroom" in the wild unless you are an expert at identifying fungi species... like Cammie here is.
