Unicorn Mare Defending her Foal
This is a pretty buff unicorn mare. A mare is a female horse so I guess a female unicorn would be a mare...however, if this offends the unicorns, my apology. In the Fablehaven book series by Brandon Mull you are told that unicorns have rather unique parents. (That is a good series, by the way.) Remember that in ancient Greece books on unicorns were in the Natural History section of the library, not in Mythology or Fables etc.
