Mule Deer Doe and Fawn and other Deer Family coloring pages

Hi!  If you are a regular visitor to my blog then it's "Hi again!!"

This is a free coloring pages blog.  Today's first new post is of a Mule Deer doe and her young fawn.

Mule Deer Doe and Fawn

Mule Deer are a common deer found in the Western USA, Western Canada, and much of Northern Mexico.  It is a bit bigger than the White-tail Deer that are more common in the Eastern United States and Eastern Canada.  Actually, White-tailed Deer are seen in the Western USA, just much more rarely seen here in Utah, USA, where I live.  Mule Deer have the characteristic of large mule-like ears, hence the name.

Mule Deer can grow to be up to 350 lbs or about 160 kg.  They are up to 3 feet tall at the shoulders.  That is about a meter tall.  The antlers of Mule Deer are different from the antlers of Whitetailed Deer. By the way, you can write it White-tailed Deer or Whitetail Deer.  or you can write it without capitalizing the words.  I just like to capitalize the names of species.

NOTE:  This new drawing up above can be found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled "Animals."  Then scroll down to the bottom for this new drawing.  The older drawings are found further up the list.  I am posting below some older drawings of members of the Deer Family.
