Today's new drawing

is an Apple Tree Fairy

Apple Tree Fairies are unique in two ways.  They have wings that mimic apple tree leaves.  This type of Tree Fairy carries a knife that doubles as their wand.  They use the knife for harvesting apples.  This particular Fairy is named Maluma.  She is about to harvest the Red Delicious Apple.

If you were to be miniaturized by Fairy magic and visited an Apple Tree Fairy village (underground, under an apple tree, or in an apple orchard) you would see that they love apples and make many different types of food from apples.  Johnny Appleseed was actually a male Apple Tree Fairy.  Of course, John Chapman, or Johnny Appleseed, was in mortal disguise when he visited mortal villages.  I think I will draw Johnny Appleseed another time.

Some of the things they make are:  fried apples, baked apples, apple sass, apple pie, apple sauce, apple cider, apple fritters, apple cobbler, apple juice, apple butter, caramel apples, and of course raw apples.  I can't think of any more, but there are many other recipes that the Apple Tree Fairies have shared with mortals.

A couple of interesting things in this drawing.  Notice that some leaves are curled up.  Apple leaves tend to do that.  We had an apple tree in our yard.  The other is that this particular apple is a Red Delicious Apple.

This drawing, in printable form, can be found by clicking on the top button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down because new drawings are at the bottom of the list of drawings.  This drawing is another in my series of Tree Fairy drawings.  Have fun coloring!   (And go have an apple!)
(...or apple fritter, or apple sauce, or apple pie, or apple cobbler... etc. etc.)

One more thing, since apples actually come in many different varieties and come in many different colors... including red, green, yellow, red-orange etc. etc.  . . . you can feel free to color this apple any color you want!
