Ukrainian Mother the Heroine (re-posting in English)

 Today's entry is very important.

It is a drawing of a brave Ukrainian mother.

English readers,  I posted this in English first and then in multiple languages.

This is now the reposting of the entry in English.

Ukrainian Mother the Heroine

This is a sad story but an inspiring one.  Russia is attacking Ukraine.  The Russian military is bombing, attacking with missiles, and shelling Ukrainian cities.  This young mother shielded her one-month-old baby with her own body.  It was either a missile attack or an artillery attack.  When the attack was over the mother looked at her baby.  Her baby was covered in blood and the mother panicked because she thought her baby was injured, but her husband said that the baby was fine.  The blood on the baby was the mother's blood.  The baby was unhurt.  But the mother had cuts all over her head and face from the broken glass.  I am sure she also had glass embedded in her back as well.  She is in the hospital now and had to have surgery to remove the glass.  This young mother is a heroine.  She was incredibly brave.  She easily could have died saving her baby.  Most mothers would have done the same.

A heroine is a woman that is noted for her courageous acts.  This young mother was certainly a heroine.

I know that some of you reading this are Russians.  I wanted you to know about this.  Your government is not telling you the truth.  The Russian military is killing women and children and other innocent civilians.  Sadly, many Russian soldiers are also dying from the war.  The Ukrainians are defending their country from a foreign invasion.  They don't want to fight the Russian military, but they really are defending their country.

An art school with hundreds of women and children sheltering inside was deliberately bombed by a Russian jet even though the Ukrainians had written, in big letters, in Russian, the word  "children" on the ground so the Russian pilot would know that there were children there and that this art school was not a military target.  The Russian pilot bombed it anyway.

Over 3 million Ukrainian citizens have had to flee to neighboring countries.  These refugees have lost all their material possessions.  Many have also lost loved ones to the violent bombings, shelling, and missile attacks.  Many of them are injured by the attacks.   Thank you to all those countries sheltering and caring for these refugees from Ukraine.

I encourage you all to pray for this war to end.  Pray for the Russian Military and the Russian political leaders to stop this unjust war.  There is great power in prayer.  Pray for the Ukrainian refugees and pray for the Ukrainians trapped in cities that are constantly under heavy bombardment.  Pray for the soldiers on both sides that they will be safe it at all possible.  Pray that the Russian soldiers will see that this war is not a just cause.

Ukrainians, we are praying for you in your just cause.  We pray for your safety and that you will be reunited with your loved ones soon.  We are so sorry that you are going through this terrible experience.  We participated in a bake sale to raise money that was sent to help you.
