Snail Fairies coloring pages

A Snail Fairy is today's new drawing in this

free coloring pages blog.

All the drawings are done by me, Robin Lyman,

except for a few done by grandnephews and grandnieces.

Snail Fairy in the Garden

(new drawing)

This is a drawing of a Snail Fairy named Biella.  She is also a Garden Fairy and a Flower Fairy.  There are many Fairies who have multiple roles.  Biella is one of those types of Fairies.  As I have mentioned before, Snail Fairies often choose to be very very small.  They are even known to ride snails.  Biella is choosing to be a more standard Fairy size in this drawing.  That size is about 5 inches or 12.7 cm tall.  Or maybe I should be saying 5 inches or 12.7 cm short.

I think that Biella is a Flower Fairy because her name means "Most Perfect Flower in the Garden."  That may also explain why she is hanging out among the flowers of the garden.

Notice that Biella has large eyes.  Snail Fairies tend to have large eyes in order to see in the dark since often snails are active at night.  This drawing is from the daytime because obviously, the flowers are open.

An interesting fact about snails is that their eyes are at the end of what looks like their antennae.  Those are actually called ocular tentacles -  that hold the eyes up.

NOTE:  This new drawing seen up top, is found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled
"Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list.  Click on the title and you will get the printable version.  Below are a few other Fairy drawings with a snail.  They are older drawings from previous posts.
