Jesus Christ visits His People in the Americas

Jesus lived in the Old World, near the Sea of Galilee or the Sea of Tiberius.  (Both names are correct.) But after His resurrection, he came to the Americas.  He probably went to lots of other places in the world too.  Jesus chose 12 Disciples in the Americas.  The people He visited were the Nephites and Lamanites... as recorded in The Book Of Mormon, Another Testament Of Christ.  He told the people that they were the other sheep he had mentioned to the people in Israel.  

Jesus healed their sick, taught them His Gospel of Peace, and showed the people many miracles.  Fire came down from heaven and surrounded the children, but it was a Heavenly Fire that did not burn the children.  In fact, the children were joined by Angels from Heaven.  

Since He had performed the atonement by his sufferings in Gethsamane and His subsequent trial, beatings, and on the cross, Jesus told the Nephites and Lamanites that the Law of Moses was fulfilled in Him.  

Jesus also taught the people of the Americas his Sermon on the Mount.  He instituted the Sacrament of His Supper.  He prophesied of the people's descendants' future.  And he told the people that he would one day return.  In fact, he prophesied of many of the events of the Last Days when He will return.  

In this day and age, we all live in there is much contention.  Jesus taught that the spirit of contention was not of Him.  Jesus told the people that the spirit of contention was of the devil who is the father of contention.  Jesus told the people that it was not His doctrine to stir up people's hearts to anger with each other.  HIS doctrine was that such things should be done away with.  

Jesus eventually ascended back up into heaven, but He told the people that He was going to visit other people.  I personally think that one day we will learn that he went to many different peoples on all the inhabited continents.

I want to add that when we are sad, when we are distressed, whatever the sadness we are experiencing...Jesus can give solace and comfort to our souls.  He suffered more than anyone else ever did or ever will.  He knows how we feel.  Turn to Him in your trials.
