Kangaroos in the Australian Bush a salute to: Crikey! It's the Irwins

Kangaroos in the Australian Bush

Kangaroos are like deer in North America.  Of course the kangaroos live in Australia.  Kangaroos are marsupials.  So the babies are the size of a jelly bean or about 1/2 inch or about a centimeter long.  After they are born they crawl along their mother's fur to the pouch where they can nurse and develop.

There are several species of kangaroos.  The Eastern Grey Kangaroo is the biggest at 91 lbs or about 41 kg.  Next is the Antilopine Kangaroo at 45 lbs or about 20 kg.   The Red Kangaroo is about 63 lbs or around 29 kg.  The Western Grey Kangaroo is the smallest at 56 lbs. or about 25 kg.   The Wallaby is related to the kangaroo.  They are much smaller at only about 9 lbs. or 4 kg.

I based part of this drawing on a scene from the excellent TV show that we love on Animal Planet called:  "Crickey!  It's The Irwins.  The Irwins run the Australian Zoo in Queensland Australia.  I plan on doing more drawings from their show.  We binge watched the show last night on Animal Planet.  I hope we can go to their zoo when we go to Australia in July!  We hope to go to Australia, if our health will allow us to.

The printable versions of this drawing are found on the top buttons on this page.  Click on either
All Printables   or   Animals.   Scroll down to the bottom of the list of drawings.  New drawings are at the bottom of the lists.

I want to note that this blog is non profit.  There are no ads and no fees to print a coloring page.  You DO need to have access to a printer though.  No one makes money on this blog.  It is what I started to do when I became disabled.  I guess you who follow my blog have noticed that sometimes there is a break from posts for a while.  I have severe health problems that sometimes get in the way of drawing or typing on the computer.  In fact the problems make it impossible to use a computer or draw at all sometimes.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

All drawings are Copyright Robin A. Lyman 2016-2019.  Some drawings date back to 2008.
