David vs Goliath

David vs Goliath
(New Drawing)

Most people know the story of David and Goliath.  The Philistines had invaded Israel and David's brothers were part of the Israelite army.  According to the custom of the day a champion from each army could meet and the winner of the fight would determine the winner of the battle.  David was only a shepherd but he was no wimp.  David had killed both a lion and a bear to defend his flock.  David was also full of faith and told Goliath that the Lord would protect David in the fight.  Goliath laughed when he saw David and made fun of him.  David swung his sling over his head or at his side and let go of one string and the smooth stone struck Goliath in the forehead.  He may have been already dead from the stone.  .  .  but David made sure.  He pulled out or picked up Goliath's sword and chopped off Goliath's head with it.  David went on to be a great warrior and the King of Israel.  .

The new drawing in printable form is found by clicking on the Religion button and the All Printables button.  The new drawings are always on the bottom of the correct list.  This list includes Old and New Testament so look for the drawing at the Old Testament section. . . at the bottom of the Old Testament list.  I am also adding some drawings of David and Goliath from previous posts.
