Can you hear your Ancestors?

Can you hear your Ancestors?
(The young man or boy is too busy playing his video game to
realize that his ancestors and trying to tell him to do his family history
and get their names found AND get to the Temple for them.)

This is a post that will mean more to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day
Saints.  We believe in baptism for the dead.  This practice is mentioned in 1 Corinthians
chapter 15. The Apostle  Paul is writing to people who were members of the Christian Church
who seemed to have problems believing in the literal resurrection of the body.  So among
his arguments in favor of the doctrine of resurrection he says:

Else what shall they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all?
why are they then baptized for the dead?
                                                                         -1 Corinthians 15:29

So, the ancient church of Christ did baptisms for the dead.  This doctrine makes sense.  In means that even if someone missed the chance to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ in mortality they can still hear it in the Spirit World and they can be baptized by proxy by a mortal.

So we members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints seek out family records and get the names of our relatives who have passed on.  Then we do the baptisms and other Temple ordinances  for them. . . including:  couples who were married for time only on Earth can be sealed by proxy.....and their children can be sealed to them as well.  So when they are resurrected they are a married couple for Time AND all Eternity.  We believe that when we die we go to the Spirit World, which is a temporary place until Christ returns and all the righteous spirits will be resurrected and return to Earth with Jesus in His Second Coming.

So maybe, just maybe, your ancestors are trying to get through to you and telling you to get to work finding their names and get to the Temple to do their Temple work.  Our prophet, President Nelson, has told us members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to find ways to get to the Temple.  He also mentioned that we need to figure out what we can or need to give up so we can make it to the Temple more often.
