Angelia the She-Elf Warrior coloring page

Welcome back!  This is my free coloring page blog.  There are around 2800 coloring pages that I have drawn for you to print and color.

THIS new drawing is of a She-Elf Warrior.

 Angelia the She-Elf Warrior

Angelia is one of many Elves who live a double life.  She lives in the Elven Realm but also spends time living and working in the mortal world.  She attended a mortal college in order to qualify as a type of “mortal healer.”  Like almost all mortal medical personnel, Angelia is particularly kind and intelligent.  She is very beautiful.  But of course her intelligence and kind nature are even more important.

When needed by the Elven Realm Angelia takes a leave of absence from her mortal job and goes where needed as an Elven Warrior.

NOTE:  This drawing will be available to print later.  The picture of my drawing that you see was taken by my iPhone.  When I get out of the hospital I’ll scan it and post it in a better printable form.

Megiowynn She Elf Warrior & Healer of Rivendell coloring page

Welcome back!  Here is another Elf Draeing that I did in the University of Utah Hospital.  I’m recovering from surgery and drawing yesterday & way early today is my pain meds of choice.  This drawing is set in Rivendell.

Megiowynn She-Elf Warrior & Healer at Rivendell

Megiawynn is an Elven Warrior.  She’s from the Elven city of Rivendell.  She is on local patrol so her armor is limited.  She is beautiful- like all Elves.  But of course she is a party kind and intelligent She-Elf.  She is also in-training to become an Elven Healer.

Elven Healers use what we mortals might call herbology but that is not quite accurate.  Being actually more advanced in technology than mortals, the Elven Healers know how to most effectively distil out key medicinal ingredients.  In addition they incorporate their Magic to treatments.  Finally, Elves are actually very much believers in a Higher Power of God.  Prayer, blessings, and the exercising of faith are important as well.

NOTE:  This drawing will be scanned and posted at both printable and higher quality when I get home from the hospital.  I might need a couple of days to recover some first.  But there is a possibility that I will post it or maybe I should say RE-post it right away.  You should probably wait to print this until I have the scanner-scanned copy posted.  Also, the model for this really IS a healer in training at a local university..  But I should add that many Elven Healers get mortal training as well as their Elven Healer Education.  Elves are immune to many mortal types of infection but not all.  And yet there are some Elven-specific illnesses.  Elven near-immortality is due in great part to their amazing healers.

Madalynia the Healer Elf gathering Watercress coloring page

 So, my surgery went well.

 Here is another Fantasy drawing.

She is another Healer Fairy.

Her name is Madalynia.

Madelynia a Healer Fairy gathering Watercress

This is just an iPhone photo of this new drawing.  I will be released from the hospital tomorrow so I will be able to scan the drawing in a quality form… as soon as I feel up to it.  I had throat surgery this morning.

Madelyn is a Healer Fairy.  She is kind, intelligent, & beautiful.  She is gathering watercress because it is a high quality superfood that is loaded with nutrients.  Fairy healers gather this food source while in mortal size.  They will return to their 5 or so inches tall natural Fairy size to bring the watercress into the underground Fairy village.

NOTE: This new drawing will be scanned and available to print when I get home from the hospital and I feel up to scanning & posting.

Sydnia the Healer Elf coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog

Today I can’t post regular printable coloring pages.

This is because I am in the hospital and I am having what is basically emergency surgery tomorrow on my throat.  So please keep me in your prayers!

CORRECTION, I AM NOW OUT OF THE HOSPITAL AND I WILL NOW RE-POST THIS DRAWING IN BETTER FORM AND I WILL ALSO POST IT IN PRINTABLE FORM.

So to be able to post this new drawing of a Healer Elf you will need to click on this photo and  Technically she could also be called a She-Elf.

Sydnia the Healer Elf

Sydnia is a gifted healer Elf or She-Elf.  She is also, like pretty much all Elves, very beautiful.  She has silky dark hair and lovely eyes.  But of course, most importantly she is kind to others.  She uses her gifts to help both those who live in the realm of Elves and those who live in the world of Men.  As an Elf Healer she also treats injured or ill animals.  She often gathers herbs etc. for their medicinal properties.  She still goes out in the forest armed so she can protect herself from the occasional roving troll or orc.  She has an Elven short sword and a small bow with a quiver of arrows.  Sydnia is wearing some basic Elven armor with mithril chainmail, and a breastplate.  She is armed in order to protect herself.

Sydnia has been out gathering Oregon Grape leaves and fruit.  Oregon grape is used for several medicinal purposes- although I think too Oregon grape much can get somewhat toxic.  But Elves have learned to use their magic with certain plants, fruits, & herbs.  The Elf magic detoxifies the plant parts so the medicinal parts can be used safely.

For mortals, we need to be careful with how and who uses Oregon grape and HOW  is used.  Pregnant women and nursing mothers should never use Oregon Grape. Yet parts of the plant including stems & roots are antibacterial apparently.  Roots have been used to clean wounds.  Oregon grape berries can be made into jams, jellies, & sauces.

NOTE: This drawing is now available in a higher quality printable form since I have returned home after recovering from my throat surgery.  We are getting ready to go on vacation now.  My doctor recommends warm moist climates.

The Prophet Joseph Smith coloring pages

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawings are of the Prophet Joseph Smith.

Joseph Smith Writing a Letter in Liberty Jail

Joseph Smith the Prophet Portrait

Joseph Smith was the prophet of the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He was persecuted and falsely accused many times.  He was arrested in Missouri and put in a dungeon in Liberty Jail.  He was so distressed, and not just for himself.  His people, the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints had been persecuted and thrown out of the state.  Some members were killed.  Some were beaten, and tarred and feathered.  Some women were raped.  ALL members were forced to leave their homes farms and businesses etc.  It was a terrible time.  These persecuted people were the first members of God's restored Kingdom here on Earth.  They were not pro-slavery and that may have been part of the cause.  They were from free states mostly.

But many survived the persecution.  Joseph Smith wrote, "Oh God, where is the pavilion that covers your hiding place?"  Joseph went on to ask how long the people of the church would suffer.  He shared his pleas with God and God's answer in a letter or epistle to the Saints.

Heavenly Father's response is amazing:  "My son, peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;  and then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy foes."

Life here in mortality seems so long but it is a tiny speck of our eternal existence.

Joseph Smith and several of his associates, who also had been imprisoned, were eventually allowed to leave Liberty Jail.  They moved to Nauvoo Illinois and the Saints set up an amazing city in just a few years.  Eventually, Joseph was killed, or more accurately he was martyred, or assassinated.  He had been told by God that he would triumph over all his foes.  That promise was obviously fulfilled in the next life.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints continues to flourish today.  Joseph was followed by the Prophet Brigham Young.  We have a modern prophet today.  His name is President Russell M. Nelson.

Thanksgiving 2023 coloring pages

 Happy Thanksgiving!

This is my free coloring pages blog.

Today's new drawing is a cartoony Thanksgiving Turkey... BEFORE Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Turkey BEFORE the Big Day

(today's new drawing)

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  This is a stylized turkey for children to color.

Below is a drawing from a previous Thanksgiving.

Pilgrim and Native American Friend

(older drawing)

Yes, some Native Americans really were friends with some of the new immigrants from Europe.

One of my ancestors was injured after her ship sank near the shore.  Her husband was killed and she was severely injured by the Native American attack.  She hid in a hollow tree for 2-3 days and when she saw an arrow hit a deer she knew that there were Native Americans near.  So she stepped out of hiding so they would put her out of her misery.  She saw an older and younger Native American man.  The younger man raised his tomahawk but the older man stopped him from hurting her.  The older Native American man took her to his home and nursed her back to health.  When she was healed he took her to a European settlement.  She remarried and she and her husband were friendly with that tribe.

Her name was Penelope, and she was one of my direct ancestors.

NOTE:  These drawings are found by clicking on the button labeled "Holidays."  Then scroll down to the "Thanksgiving section of that list.  There are several Thanksgiving drawings that you can print.  The new drawings are found at the bottom of the correct section of the list.

Simeon the Young Male Barefoot Elf coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

There are around 2800 drawings to print and color.

I drew almost all of them.  A few were drawn by my grandniece and grandnephew.

Today's new drawing is of a young Barefoot Elf named Simeon.

Simeon the Young Male Barefoot Elf

I have drawn other Barefoot Elves.  This type of Elf is part Hobbit.  So they are smaller than normal Elves but they are not as small as pure-bred Hobbits.  It was humans seeing the relatively smaller Barfoot Elves that led to the belief that Elves were tiny little people.

Simeon is seen here in training out in the woodland realm of the Wood Elves.  All Barefoot Hobbits are part Woodland Elf.  Simeon is seen here wearing a chainmail tunic made of Mithril.  Mithril is supposed to be a form of very hard and lightweight silver.  So, it must be some kind of silver structure unknown to modern Man.

Barefoot Elves are often scouts.  They can hide well and are very intelligent.  They also can shoot arrows or throw rocks with scary accuracy.  In spite of their diminutive size, they are surprisingly fast and nimble on their feet.  They can easily outrun practically anyone... except a purebred Elf.

Barefoot Elves got the name because most of them prefer to not wear shoes.  This is like their Hobbit ancestors.  The soles of their feet are very tough.  However, unlike Hobbits, Barefoot Eleves do not have oversized and hairy feet.  They inherited tough soles on their feet from their Hobbit ancestors but inherited foot size from their Elven ancestors.

About Simeon, he is very clever and fast.  He is surprisingly strong for a Barefoot Elf.  He is also a nice kid.  He is very skillful in combat.  He has learned fighting skills which he can apply when needed.

NOTE:  This drawing, along with other Elf drawings, is found in printable form by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom because new drawings are found at the bottom of the list.

Jesus without the Walls of Jerusalem coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.  There are around 2800

coloring pages for you to print and color. I drew all except for a few drawn by

a grandnephew and a grandniece.  There are no ads or fees.

Today's new drawing is of Jesus without or outside the walls of Jerusalem.

Jesus without the Walls of Jerusalem

Jesus was our Savior and Redeemer.  He paid the eternal prince for our sins so that we can one day return to the presence of our Heavenly Parents.  Jesus actually IS our Savior.  He is a glorified resurrected being.  When we sin, and we ALL sin.  Anyway, when we sin we create an eternal punishment that would separate us from God for all eternity.  But again, Jesus paid that eternal         price for our sins so that we can repent of our sins and be cleansed by His Atonement.

So, the essence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is that people can repent and change.  No true Christian would doubt that great truth!  When we die our eternal spirit goes to the Spirit World.  We are still alive in that our spirit can never die.  Upon resurrection day we will receive a glorified body.  Our spirit will unite with this perfect body and we will live forever.

This drawing shows Jesus during His mortal life.  He standing without or outside the walls of Jerusalem.  He is outside the walls but near Temple Mount and the Temple. The Children of Israel had an Aaronic Priesthood Temple.  Our modern Temples, of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, are Melchizedek Priesthood Temples. The Melchizedek Priesthood holds the Sealing Power,

As our prophet, Russell M. Nelson has said recently, and I paraphrase:  "The type of body you are resurrected with depends upon your repentance and behavior here.  It also depends on you getting the ordinances of salvation like baptism, receiving the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, Temple covenants, and Temple or eternal marriage.  If you are married before going to the Temple you can be sealed to your spouse and children.  This makes it possible for you to live together with your spouse, as husband and wife, for time and all eternity.  Of course, we are not perfect and so we must repent often and sincerely and strive to do better.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Religion" button and scrolling down to the bottom of the "New Testament" section of that list.  Have fun coloring!

Early Sabertoothed Cat, Hoplophoneus vs Early Hourse, Mesohippus coloring page

First of all, scroll down to see more posts.  I posted a cool Swallowtail Fairy drawing yesterday.

But TODAY'S new post is this, a drawing of Mesohippus under attack

by a Hoplophoneus.  Both animals are early versions of their type of animal.

Hoplophoneus vs Mesohippus

These two mammals are from the Oligocene Epoch of the Tertiary Period of the Cenozoic Era.  It was from 33.7 to 23.8 million years ago.  These two mammals are from about 30 mya.  "MYA" or "mya" means "million years ago."

Hoplophoneus was an early sabertooth cat, although its saber teeth were not as proportionally long as the later bigger sabertooth cats.  Hoplophoneus was about 4 feet 3 inches long including the longish tail.  That is also 1.3 meters long. Its scientific name is Hoplophoneus occidentalis.  In comparison, the Smilodon that appeared much later on was nearly 6 feet long.  And Smilodon had a short tail.  It most certainly preyed upon early horses, like Mesohippus.

Mesohippus was a very early horse.  It had 3 toes on each foot because one toe or one hoof per foot had not evolved yet.  Horses back then, in the Oligocene were much smaller than modern horses.  Mesohippus was about 4 feet or 1.2 meters long.  So Mesohippus and Hoplophoneus were about the same size.  But Mesohippus was a grazer herbivore.  And Hoplophoneus was a predator carnivore.

NOTE:  The inspiration for this drawing comes from a display at the Museum of Ancient Life in Lehi, Utah.   It is an awesome museum! To me, this museum is the happiest place on Earth, after our home. (Apologies to Disneyland, but I am a paleontology nut!)   The museum paleontology displays start with the early life of the Paleozoic and go through the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods.  Then you walk through the "ocean room" where there are early Marine Reptiles.  The displays end with early mammals of the Cenozoic Period.  Below are the two animal skeletons from the display that inspired this drawing.

My drawing of Mesohippus and Hoplophoneus, in printable form, is found by clicking on the button labeled "Paleontology."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the Cenozoic part of the list.   Have fun coloring!

Katalynia the Swallowtail Fairy coloring page

Welcome or welcome back to my free coloring pages blog!

Today's new drawing is of a beautiful Swallowtail Fairy.

Katalynia the Swallowtail Fairy

Katalynia is a beautiful and kind Swallowtail Fairy.  She cares for the Swallowtail Butterflies.  These butterflies live only about 2 weeks once they transform or metamorphose into adult butterflies.  So Swallowtail Fairies help protect these beautiful but short-lived butterflies.

Many animals prey on Swallowtail Butterflies.  They include many bird species, frogs, lizards, etc. Katalynia and the other Swallowtail Fairies help ensure the continuation of this endangered type of butterfly.  There are several species of swallowtail butterflies.  The butterflies in this drawing are Tigerswallowtail  Butterflies.  These come in both a western and eastern species here in the USA.

Another interesting fact is that Swallowtail Butterflies like riparian areas.  Riparian areas are near rivers or streams.  Swallowtail Butterflies lay their eggs on riparian trees like willows, box elder trees, cottonwood trees, etc.

Katalynia is seen here wading in a stream.  She is not in her natural fairy size of 5 inches.  But she is not far from it.  She has transformed to be a little bigger and taller in order to wade in and not be washed away in this stream.  All Fairies have this ability to transform up to or even beyond mortal size.  But their natural size tends to be around 5 inches tall.  That size is 12.7 cm or so.

Tiger swallowtail Butterflies, like those seen in this drawing, have a wingspan of 3.5-4.5 inches.

NOTE:  This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus" button and then scrolling down to the bottom to see this drawing.  New drawings are at the bottom of the correct list.  Of course, if you are reading this many months later than the day I posted this... Nov. 14, 2023, then the printable drawing's title will be further up the list.

Fairies often have clothing weaved from natural plants that are native to the local environment.  Katalynia is wearing willow leaf-based clothing.  It is summer so she is dressed lightly.  Indeed, she plans on going for a swim.  Finally, you might notice that Katalynia has wings that match those of the Tiger Swallowtail Butterflies seen in the drawing.  Katalynia can actually transform her wings to match the type of Swallowtail Butterfly she is protecting.  Most mortals would only see a large Swallowtail Butterfly if they saw Katalynia in this form.  Fairy magic tricks mortal minds.

A few Dinosaurs for Little Kids to color

This is my free coloring pages blog.

I have drawn over 2800 coloring pages for you to choose from for you to print and color.

Today and tomorrow  I have posted several drawings of dinosaurs for younger children to color.

I posted these drawings over the last two days.

T. rex and two Pteranodons flee a Volcano

Some paleontologists think that the biggest Tyrannosaurus rex specimens weighed up to 9 tons!

Trike Mommy & Calf

This is a simple drawing for younger kids to color. Triceratops horridus was the largest of the Ceratopsian dinosaurs.  It was up to 30 feet long and had horns the length of broom handles... but much more sturdy and much sharper.  The species name of "horridus" must be because it would be pretty horrible to meet a Triceratops if it was angry.  Its top weight was the same as T. rex at 9 tons.

Cryolophosaurus with Large Scales

This dinosaur lived in what is now Antarctica. It was a 23 ft or 7 meters long Theropod or predator.

Spinosaurus with Chicks

Spinosaurus was actually the biggest of all the predator dinosaurs.  Fully grown adults were around 55 feet long. That is 16.8 meters long.  Spinosaurus was 11 feet or 3.35 meters longer than a Tyrannosaurus rex.  Spinosaurus was a fish-eating dinosaur.  It had one huge claw on each hand for filleting the large fish it caught.

Sauropod Mommy & Calf

T. rex Daddy teaching Hunting

Evidence shows that Theropod dinosaurs, like T. rex, were good parents.  Their chicks were hatched without the ability to feed themselves.  So the parents must have cared for them.  And, of course, the parents would have taught them hunting skills.  There is other evidence that T. rex dinosaurs mated for life so the father would have helped raise the chicks... like in many bird species.

So,  these pictures are all posted on the printables pages...

under the Paleontology button. Click the button and scroll down

to the bottom of the "Mesozoic" part of the list.

Have fun coloring!

Klinta the Cliff Fairy coloring page

This is my free coloring pages blog.

I have drawn over 2800 coloring pages for you to print and color.

This is the second new post today.

The drawing is of a Cliff Fairy!

Klinta the Cliff Fairy

Cliff Fairies are a type of Mountain Fairy.  They live in high mountains and even in low-hill country.  They are particularly beautiful.  Those that live in high mountains are adapted to life at high altitudes  This drawing is of a Cliff Fairy in the summer.  She would not be wearing such light clothing if it were winter.  However, Cliff Fairies and Mountain Fairies in general are very cold-tolerant.

One more thing about Cliff Fairies is they are often a type of Bird Fairy as well.  You see some birds of prey flying far off in the background.  These types of birds are friendly to Cliff Fairies.  It was actually Cliff Fairies who alerted humans about the effects of the pesticide DDT on the eggs of birds of prey.

Klinta has long legs and long arms.  This is one of the adaptations for Cliff Fairies.  They actually will climb cliffs for fun.  Yes, they can fly anywhere they want.  But Cliff Fairies like to climb for fun. Their long legs and long arms help them climb well.  And of course, if they lose their grip, they always can spread their wings and fly instead of falling

One more thing to note.  Many Mountain Fairies, including Klinta here, are also Butterfly Fairies.  There are some species of butterflies that love the high mountain meadows. Mountain Faires, which are often also Butterfly Fairies, watch out for these mountain butterflies.  This explains Klinta's two beautiful butterfly-like wings.   Of course, she is seen here in her human-size form.  Like all Fairies, she can transform back into her regular Fairy size.  For Cliff Fairies that is a bit taller than most other Fairies.  Cliff Fairies are around 5.5 inches or 14 cm in their natural Fairy size.  Most other Fairies are just 5 inches or 12.7 cm tall in their natural height.

NOTE:  This drawing is found, in printable form, by clicking on the button labeled "Fantasy, Myths, and Circus."  Then scroll down to the bottom of the list for the printable version of this drawing.  Have fun coloring!

Silver and Gold have I None coloring page

Welcome to my free coloring pages blog.

One of today's new drawings is of Peter and John the Apostles.

They are with a lame man at the Temple.

Silver and Gold Have I None

The Apostle Peter and the Apostle John went to the Temple in Jerusalem.  They saw there at the "Beautiful Gate a lame man who begged.  Peter told them to look at them and the lame man thought that they were about to give him some money.

But Peter said, "Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee,  In the name of Jesus of Nazareth rise up and walk."

The formerly lame man entered the Temple with Peter and John.  He was no longer lame  He entered leaping for joy.  Everyone recognized him as the "lame man" who was now no longer lame.

I drew the lame man begging on one of the steps leading up to the gate.

This miracle led to Peter and John being arrested and it is really an interesting story and it is found in Acts 3.

NOTE: This drawing, in printable form, is found by clicking on the "Religious" button.  Then scroll down to the bottom of the "New Testament" section of the list.  Have fun coloring!
